Parrots may be socially awkward too!

How to get a talking pet - advice from breeders on caring for a parrots.

The parrots named Ophelia has the most unique personality

Sky knows for sure that her parrot is nothing like any other bird. She is a bit socially awkward, and it shows whenever she is trying to communicate with other parrots. When she wants to make friends, the parrots around her tend to give her a stare without knowing what is going on. But Sky is making sure her favorite bird learns how to socialize.

There are reasons why Ophelia, Sky’s bird, is so unique. Sky and her sister had rescued her from a very unpleasant cage. It was way too small and overly dirty. Ophelia had lived there all by herself for years.

She never had any companion her entire life. Neither did she see anything other than the small room where her cage was placed. No doubt she would need some help to integrate with other birds.

When Sky only got Ophelia, her family did not notice anything in particular. Quite the opposite, they were happy to see their parrot was smart and social enough to mimic their speech, even though they never trained her. One day Ophelia just raised her foot and said “hi”.

Then, she started to learn more complex words. It was then that Sky decided to take her to other parrots to make friends. But here, nothing went as she expected.

First, Ophelia would stay upside down, which already made look so different from her friends. When other birds tried to approach her, she would scream. She never allowed anyone to touch her. The parrots would give Sky a confused stare.

Sky realized that a lot of work needed to be done to help Ophelia. To start with, she decided to adopt another parrot, Kazoo, who would become Ophelia’s first friend. Now, everything seems to be going just fine. Kazoo likes Ophelia just the way she is, and the two like to explore the house, have fun, and sometimes, be a bit of troublemakers.
